‘Creative optimizing’ is one of the key concepts that has informed Leverage’s perspective on strategy. It’s also one of the concepts that we’ve been using the longest.
Creative Optimizers show up in every domain and all throughout history, and they can completely transform the strategic landscape. We’ve found this concept useful enough to build it into a wider framework. Which has helped us to better understand and situate these intriguing people.
Very soon we’ll be releasing a three part article series where we’ll cover the framework (above), touch on the different actors (below) and do deep dive on Creative Optimizers.
We’ll examine how to do what they do, the costs they bear as well as the wider philosophical and societal implication of their actions.
